Yesterday, the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show got off to a pretty cool start with the announcement of two new smartphones in the Sony Xperia line. They?re the Z and ZL, and they come equipped with a host of cutting-edge features: A 5-inch 1080p ?Reality Display,? a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, a MicroSD slot, and much more.
But perhaps most impressive of all is the phones? IP55 and IP57 certifications. What does that mean? It means you can dunk your smartphone in a meter of water for half an hour without even slightly impairing its functionality.
Both the Z and the smaller ZL are expected to come out in the first part of 2013, so expect info on pricing to be forthcoming.
